Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Samuel Hervy @2joursailleurs

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a freelance graphic designer and photographer from Paris, France. I love my city and to walk in the street to show the best of it.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love travel and street photography. Urban and city atmosphere with a travel focus. I love great monuments and try to shoot them with my personnal feeling. Working color pictures is for me very important.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My instagram name come about my serial video project. 2 jours ailleurs means in french 2 days to discover a city in Europe (videos available in my youtube channel).

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I am a photographer, so I use of course Adobe Photoshop for the postproduction.
When I shot with my smartphone, I use Photowizard and Pixl O Matic.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really love Koci, a streetphotographer. He inspires me to progress with black and white style.
Siberianvolk and manuphotographer help me to travel, their gallery are fantastic. Forgottenheritage is really original, his work shows the effect of time on abandoned places. Moodygrams, I love this gallery for color work, it is almost like paintings.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Try to show one thing: the reality, the world is beautiful and your camera can sublime it. Take a picture is also a question of patience. Point and wait for the right moment, when the composition naturally takes place. And forget the selfies.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Share the travel of my eyes with my camera.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Offer people the choice to be themselves thanks to the brands, not change for them. The most important for me is to let people express who they are.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Do not try to show him what he would like to see, but what he would never think to look. A good brand for me is a new way to understand the world.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

To exchange skills and share the talents to create a new vision of the world and, why not, change it for the better.
