Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Regitse @the_copenhagen_traveler

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a 28-year-old passionate freelance journalist, travel writer and social media wizard originally from Denmark. I have lived abroad several times; in Portugal, Switzerland and Belgium, and in 2014 I launched my luxury travel blog The Copenhagen Traveler. The blog has grown to become a company and my full-time job, and I travel as much as I can.
It has always been my dream to travel the world and be a writer of profession. Writing and creating content is both my passion and my hobby.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Travel and anything related to it, really. I love posting inspiring travel photos encouraging others to follow their dreams and travel the world – either alone or with someone else. To travel is to live and I hope I’m inspiring both men and women to live a life of passion and fun. I have a weakness for old luxury hotels, airport lounges, champagne and hotel operations. Some of it is probably due to my time studying Hotel Management. I love old school luxury and classy travel experiences.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I’m from Copenhagen and the city is also my base today, so it was quite natural to name both my blog and my Instagram “The Copenhagen Traveler”.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use the editing tools of Instagram, but also Facetune and PicMonkey. Simple and easy. I prefer bright, strong colors in my feed – no black and white for me!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are plenty, but some of the big travel and lifestyle bloggers out there post some quite inspiring content. One of them is Sincerely Jules.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Travel the world, engage with different cultures and document it. It’s such an enriching experience to bond with other nationalities, even if you don’t speak the same language.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love inspiring people to live a life of happiness, spontaneity and courage. To me, traveling is also about being courageous!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Listen to your own voice and follow it. There’s something unique in every influencer, and it shows pretty fast if someone’s not true to themselves. Don’t be afraid to try something different.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Again – stay true to yourself. If you do (and if you’re 100% happy about the content you put up), then no one can blame you of anything. The quality is of course very important, so make sure everything’s in place before you upload photos or articles.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I find it both inspiring and fun to engage with brands who are open for new opportunities. It gives me the freedom to explore the brand and show a side of them, which they maybe don’t even know themselves. The creative process is always fun!
