Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Megan Tan @_megantsy

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m Megan, 23 years old, from KL.
I worked for part-time and freelance jobs when I was in secondary school and college.
Graduated on last December and I’m officially working for a typical 9am-6pm full-time job as an optometrist.
My not so flexible time doesn’t stop me from doing what I love. After work, I would make full use of my time to work out, play piano, blogging etc.
The weekend is the best, besides exploring some new/old cafes or shopping, I would look for workshops to attend or have a good rest at home.
I love to travel, I love photography. I love sharing my peeves and point of views to people around me.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Travel. Fashion. My lifestyle. Food.
Travel photos appeared the most on my Instagram.
I don’t stick to a niche for my posts, I’m happy to share anything that happens in life.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

_megantsy. It’s my name. That’s how people remember me.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Vsco and Snapseed.
I’ll use Vsco to add some filters and adjust the lighting. Snapseed to remove some unwanted object and adjust the perspective of my photos.
I would prefer to keep my photos as original as possible.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Jane Chuck and Chenelle Wen.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

The food I shared. Secondly would be places I go and beauty product I’m using.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Be the first and influent people around me.
"What is this? Where do you get this? Is this good?" These are the questions that tell me "Good job. You’re influencing them"

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Be true to yourself and your products.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

In life, in society, in the business world, trust is important.
With the quality and original content, we are able to build trust. That’s how readers get loyal to you, not because of physical appearance or fame but trust.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Learn new thing, learn about the brand and products, learn to compromise, learn to be a better person.
Besides, I get to meet new peoples.
