Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Mar Mengot @marmengot

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am Mar Mengot and I am from Valencia, a city in the east coast of Spain. I have just finished a Teaching degree and now I am looking for my dreamed job in a school. Also, I am working everyday on my other passion: photography and fashion.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My main interest is the photography. I love take pictures and also be the model, so I try to post pictures about my lifestyle and passion, my trips, outfits, etc.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My last name is very uncommon so I am the only Mar Mengot. It wasn’t difficult to find a unic name for my account.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

When I take a photo with my mobile phone, I use the editing tools that provide the Iphone and Instagram.
On the other hand, the ones taken with my Canon EOS 100D or from photoshoots, are edited with Photoshop CS6.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I spend a lot of time looking for inspiration on instagram and there are lots of Instagrammers with a perfect style for me. I specially like @dulceida, @belenhostalet or @martariumbau.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

The Boomerang app for really fun videos.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

When a follower contacts me because she/he has a problem or want an advice. I really love to be able to help.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

For the campaigns sometimes I work with a photographer but for a lot of the photos are taken by my mother and edited by me, so anything could be more authentic for me.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I never post a picture that I don’t really love. My advice is that you have to take a photo a thousend times if it is necessary for reaching the perfect one. You have to be patient and looking for perfection in every shoot.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I think that when you work in what you like, you don’t have to work never. So working taking pictures and sharing brands is a dream.
