Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Kristine @kristinebaltkaula

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I come from a small place, called Latvia. It’s beautiful in every way. I’m studying in 10th grade, in my free time i read books, play the guitar and photograph.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love capturing moments, beautiful places, food and flat-lays. I’d have to say flat-lays and nature are my favourite things to post there.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

at first it wasn’t like this, it was just one of the ones they suggest you. But after a time when i started to put effort and thought to my posts i changed it to my name and surname, so it could be easier to find and i just liked it.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

the apps i use are VSCO cam and pixlr, when i photograph i usually just turn the brightness up/down, depends, on the iphones camera and after that i use one filter, to have a theme, turn the temperature a little bit down and maybe put a little clarity, if needed. and when i have a picture with an overlay, a quote or something else i head to pixlr.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

i haven’t found yet somebody that i adore with all my heart, but there are some pretty good nature photographers : dylan furst, andrew joseph winn.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

if they aren’t using it already- VSCO cam, they have really beautiful filters. and also just going with the flow, posting ehat you like.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

i love to engage with people, recommend them stuff that i enjoy and see them using it is just amazing. seeing their reviews.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

i think that they’re doing a pretty good job and there isn’t much for me to add, because it’s great to see so many campaigns. for everyone there is something they might like and i think that’s the greatest part.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

as it’s said in a quote ” quality over quantity” and that’s the truth. and it’s good to be original, stand out with your photos so that you are different.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

the communication, expierience, just being able to share your thoughts about things with everyone.
