Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Kris Loyd @So_Easy_

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I make hip hop music and my music is unlike most. I’m a Detroit native that doesn’t have the "Detroit" sound and I love that about my style of music. My calling is to help people through music. Everyone that experiences So Easy experiences a seriousness and passion they never have. It’s not hard to see I love what I do and that I love to help and see people happy.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topics of interest include gaming, taking random walks to enjoy the beautiful weather and motivation. At the end of the day we’ve got to stay motivated to do what drives us so I always feed myself positivity and uplifting things to keep my mind sharp. I once met a millionaire that told doing this was key and I’ve lived by it since. I would definitely say that motivational content is what I post most on Instagram. It’s my way of helping myself while helping others.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Well to be honest, It’s my stage name (laughing out loud). I wanted to make my handle "So Easy" but that was already taken so the underscores became apart of it out of necessity. Not much to that story, I know but I’ve grown attached to the visual of my name with underscores on social media. I use it everywhere now.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Quite a few apps are used when I edit my photos. Aviary is my primary app. I love it because it has everything I need to produce high quality pictures. Sometimes I use other apps and combine what they offer when needed. Other apps I enjoy are Artisto, Phonto, Pic-it Collage, Photo Lab, PicArt and VSCO and Ghost Lens every blue moon. Needless to say I take editing seriously. My favorite filters are the Scenery enhance, Blur and Clyde Effect in the Aviary app. Those effects together or separate always give a great HQ photo!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I absolutely love @Millionaire_Mentor
A page filled with exactly what people like me need. Constant motivation! I can’t think of a page that I enjoy more than that one. Great pics that add motivation to the already motivating captions on their pics.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Try something your scared of. Stop running from what scares you because that’s the thing that’s going to give you that breakthrough you desire so much. You want success right? Then put yourself out there in a way that scares you. If your dreams don’t scare you at some point I think you need to dream bigger. You want it, you can have it!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

People know my page is organic. And by organic I mean from the heart. It’s very easy to tell I genuinely do believe what I post to be true and I’ve noticed that people love that about ME. Not my page but ME. I hear it often too. I’m so glad that people see me for what I see myself for. They see me for someone that really does care about the well being of everyone. Even the alleged "competition". The goal is to spend your life positively impacting other lives and I think I do that well. Although I plan to step it up, still.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

You need to run campaigns that you believe are true. What I mean by that is don’t run a campaign because it’s trending or just trendy in general. Do it because you really mean it. People love to be emotionally connected so yes, running a trendy campaign will get results but running a campaign that’s from the heart will do better. For example if I ran a #BlackLivesMatter campaign you’ll get plenty of support but if I ran a #KeepTheFamilyTogether campaign it would do even better. Why? Because I’m only 26 with a wife and child and promoting people that have families to do their best to keep them together. So people know that’s from my heart rather than just convenient.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Again I’d say make it from your heart. What matters to you? Is it love, is it knowledge, or is happiness through traveling the world etc. Reach people through what drives you. What drives me is the freedom to do what I want when I want. The freedom to make enough money to be financially stable without a typical 9-5 job. I mean really how many times have you been happy to take orders from someone 8 hours a day just to pay bills you only have because you kind of have to. So being original is easy. Just be you because you’ve got something to offer that no one else does. I guarantee it.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I get to further extend myself through another entity. Allowing me to reach more people with what matters to me in a myriad of ways. And what matters to me is freedom, happiness and helping people.
