Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Ian Jerome Fajardo @ianfajardo

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m Ian Jerome, a caffeine dependent life-form based in Manila, Philippines. Last April 2016, I graduated from Polytechnic University of the Philippines with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I mostly take photos of food, coffee, clothes and some occasional travels.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It’s pretty simple. Basically, it’s just my first name and last name. (laughs)

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I only use VSCO! No other editing app can compare. What I do is that I take photos with either my Canon 700D or just my iPhone6s first. Import to Vsco. Pick the perfect filter (chromatic/essence series are my favorites). Some manual adjustments on the exposure, contrast, sharpness, temperature and add some little fade. And ta-dah! (LOL)

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I’m a huge fan of Kimi Juan, Gela Beef and Mike Will Fly. Check them out!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

When you get to inspire people to be at their best self. I love that feeling.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

You always keep it real. You show the good sides, you show some flaws. That’s how you keep it authentic to your readers. It makes them trust you more.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Originalty is the real key to success in this copycat world. Being an instagrammer myself, I know how hard it is to find the content style that perfectly reflects you but believe me, just be yourself, quality content comes along the way.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It’s the fact that I get to interact more with my followers/readers by sharing them my views and opinions about these certain brands. It’s like a win-win situation on both sides. Heehee.
