Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: graciella shiaryn @gegeciella

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi, I’m Graciella from Jakarta, Indonesia. I’m a university student majoring in Marketing Management.
Also, I am a fashion blogger, but currently I am really interested in skincare, so my blog posts or Instagram posts some times are about skincare products.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Fashion and skincare! I love to discuss about skincare now, besides my passion for fashion is expressed by the way I dress.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

When I was a kid, I could’t spell my name "grace" but it just sounded "ge". And that’s why I come up with an idea to put "ge" on my Instagram name. Instead of "graciella", I prefer "gegeciella" hehehe.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

vsco, snapseeds, adobe lightroom, afterlight. I’m actually not really good in editing photos, so I just put on some famous filter like A6 or HB2. Increase the brightness, decrease the saturation/warmth and Voila!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Joan Keem! I first adore her through her Youtube Channel because I think we have the same kind of interests but her Instagram feeds are also lovely. I like to see Korean Instagram because of their authenticity and they post whatever they like but still their followers love it.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

colourful styling challenges! Nowadays, mostly people are playing safe with their outfits. Try challenge yourself with no white, no black, no grey 😉

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favourite part is people might get something useful from what I did, what I wore, and what I reviewed. I’m also grateful for having the chance to meet new friends (fellow bloggers/influencers) in every events.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

– Know your audience really well, and go for the right influencer that suits your audience.
– Try collaborating with local bloggers, there’s a lot of local bloggers that are also potential.
– Make an Ambassador program, Ambassador can also make a big impact.

I maintain authenticity by being real to myself. It’s kinda hard because sometimes I also want to follow trends, but yeah, basically just being myself is the important thing to keep the authenticity.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Again, just be honest with yourself. Don’t make something because you see the other who make that kind of thing is going viral, but do make something because you own the idea and you want to give your best to your readers/followers. For the content itself, express your own opinion in a right way. Readers/followers will know which one is the paid-promote content or our honest original content.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I’m very happy when it comes to helping other people. Partnering with brands also means I can help them in my own way, promoting their brands, giving review so they can upgrade their products, etc.
