Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Grace @gracie.manu

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a student in my third year currently studying business and media marketing at university. I’m also a qualified dance teacher and teach dance classes in commercial jazz part time.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I’m interested in all the little things to be honest. I enjoy posting day-to-day lifestyle photos of the sky, the beach; anything I get up to.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I just decided to choose my own name as all pictures are my own!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

VSCO is the only editing app I use. I like the filters on this app better than the ones Instagram provides. I usually -1 contrast, fade +1 and sharpen +3. Most times I don’t use a filter because the colours are so beautiful and vivid already!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really like how Kylie Jenner and Gabby Epstein take photos of themselves. The background’s always perfect and they always look stunning. I also love captainpotter, who posts really beautiful landscape photos of awesome places I’d love to visit.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Get outside and take pics of the world around you! I take pics of the sunrise and sunset like everyday! Trees, buildings.. I find the reality of everyday things we take for granted beautiful in their own way.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love being able to show other Instagram users from around the world what my life is like in Australia. I love my hometown and just enjoy sharing pictures of where I am from.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Make sure you’re choosing the right influencer’s to collab with. Sometimes it’s a lot nicer to see a photo of an Instagrammer taking a photo of something you can tell they love and are passionate about in comparison to someone who clearly knows nothing about the product.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I’m all for taking your own pictures! I like to look at Instagram as a sort of photo album of my life. I like to make sure there’s a balance in selfies, landscape pictures and pictures of food lol. Some people enjoy posting photos of beautiful places but the photos aren’t their own and don’t mention the original photographer. I just like knowing all photos on my Instagram are ones I’ve taken.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like spreading the word!! I’m a very talkative person in real life.. I like spreading my opinion on foods, restaurants, places to visit and so on. So when it comes to Instagram I am no different! If I love a brand, I’ll tell my followers
