Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Francesco Zago @frenzbeps

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am Francesco Zago but since I remember everyone calls me Frenz Beps. I am a freelancer based in the North East of Italy, motorbike traveller, Business Administration student with a vivid passion for Digital Marketing and Technology.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I am very fascinated by human beings. I love portraits, and to portray people. Not necessary beautiful people, but people which faces tell me a story.
Instagram is part of my weekly social media routine, and I keep it up to date with three pictures per topic. I definitively love well structured profiles, and so I try to do it. I also love polaroids, and I usually use them in my pictures.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My complete name is Francesco Giuseppe Zago, way too long to be remembered, so at junior high school some friends came up with Frenz Beps, and I felt as that should have become my real name. Right now I consider Frenz Beps like an alter ego, as my life is splitted between art and Business.
But wasn’t Andy Warhol the one who told that Business is one of the highest forms of art?

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I don’t use apps, just vsco to organize pictures on the phone.
I work on my laptop with Adobe Lightroom using a presets series that I created during these years, and I keep it up to date.
Then I use Photoshop in some occasions, but mostly for morphing if necessary.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I am very fascinated by skate and street culture. So @aacostaa vans official photographer is one of my idols.
Then I really appreciate the realism of @todd__fisher who is not so popular but make damn raw pictures..awesome!
Finally I like to be inspired by big profiles or magazines like art of visuals and Street Dreams ecc

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I would suggest to experiment more, recycle old cameras or polaroid and start using them inside their pictures.. That’s the essence of photography even if it can seems old fashioned.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I think that the best part is give advice to your followers making them improving. Being able to inspire them, challenge them and create a network. It is the best part of Social Media actually!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

As I worked in digital marketing fields, I feel to suggest that to drive a succesfull campaign on social media brands should be as specific as they can, creating different contents lines for each media channel, keeping their mind on kpis and their own value proposition.
Develop a strong value proposition is the key to maintain authenticity, developing the entire brand perception around it.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Content marketing is nowadays fundamental, and this must be understood both from the account side that on the artists side. Quality must be a priority especially on social media, which are accessible by almost every one.
This is the reason why I always suggest to brands to rely on experienced people, that are able to understand datas from social media and are result oriented.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Every time I partner with a new brand I feel gazed about the way I can portray and highlight their product being coherent with my style. You must feel part of that and being proud of what you create.
Moreover, working with brands always put me in a smart environment where I can express my creativity, travelling a lot and making my network wider.
