Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Emma Jane @ataleoftwocitys

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

We are two best friends who originally lived in Wellington NZ until one of us (Jane) moved over to Melbourne Australia. We wanted to start a blog/Instagram for ages and finally decided to do it, showcasing everything we love including the two amazing city’s we live in!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

We love everything to do with Fashion, Beauty, Travel, Food and general lifestyle

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

We had been thinking about names for ages and wanted something a bit different. Considering we do live in two city’s we decided on A Tale of Two Citys

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

A lot of our photos we don’t edit but when we want to make it a bit special we use the following VSCO, Snapseed and Instafit.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

A few favourites would be Pepamack, Tuulavintage, STA Travel (we love all their travel pics) and Fashioned Chic Styling.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

We would have to say the new Rimmel Volume Colourist Mascara, its fast becoming our favourite!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

We love showing our followers new, exciting things and helping inspire them with our personal style. We also love the citys that we live in, Melbourne and Wellington are quite simple so its amazing to show the world what they have to offer!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think its great when brands give influencers as much information as possible for campaigns and really put out there what they want out of the relationship.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Original content is so important, its what makes your Instagram and blog unique. Its fine to get ideas from others but try and put your own spin on it. If you really do love someone else’s photos and you want to re-post its imperative that you tag the original owner. There is nothing more annoying than finding your photos and not being tagged!

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

We love that we can either introduce new brands to a whole to audience or with brands who have been around for awhile, put a new creative spin on what they are offering consumers. Instagram is the best place to advertise things you want to sell and we find that our followers really trust what we endorse.
