1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is EL, i’m currently a barber at Bipolar Barbershop & a photography hobbyist from Singapore.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Definitely travelling & fashion. I usually post a lot of nightscape photography as it’s my fav time of the day Be it landscapes or portraits there’s always stories to tell too in the middle of the night.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I’ve always wanted a unique artistry kinda vibe approach in name structures, and dot.negative brings a deeper perspective of space & design which i tend to find a lot of influence from my photos.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use lightroom for most of my editing style, keep it simple and neat yet honest in my work. Manipulating too much in photoshop is just a big no no for me. On the phone app would definitely be vscocam as it’s simple & minimalist.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Instagrammers like @mellowedhigh @triipsss @tellyourchildren @coolbeancake are creatives i look forward to work with or learn from as they all have different specialties in their craft. @takubeats definitely inspires me the most in terms of creativity. Building his success from ground up, he’s such a talent. Having a love for grooming he co-owns a barbershop in AUS, a Sony camera Ambassador, Team Cozy Collective partner & an upcoming Sound Artist.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

It’ll be cheesy wrapped in bacon, It’s delicious.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Definitely inspiring others to get out of their comfort zone & never let creativity be an excuse they don’t have.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Honestly listen to your loyal users of those brands, and rework with their feedbacks. Always assure quality over quantity that’s how you remain authentic to me. At the end of the day it’s a matter of having spend that extra 15mins on the details or be sloppy for the rest of that 15mins to degrade a brands lifespan.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Trust your product like how you’d trust your kids, nothing can get more original than that strong believe.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The friendships & trust you build from partnering brands as they provide with all the knowledge that’s out there to learn. Having an opportunity itself is a blessing in every form of work.
