Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Dana Davids @danadavidss

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m a fashion student going to study fashion communication and promotion at graduate level at University. On the side of my studies I’m also a fashion enthusiast on social media and soon to be beauty & heath youtuber, Hopefully thins will help me build a platform for myself when I’ve finished my degree and look for my dream job. I was raised in Leicester, United Kingdom.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My Instagram feed mainly consist of selfies of my make-up, promoting up coming beauty businesses and my sense of style. I’s call myself a ‘Fashionista’, I love researching trends and keeping up to date on what’s new and I love seeing other young creatives support each other on social media especially Instagram, because it’s a great way of networking and meeting people who have the same aspirations as yourself which is highly encouraging.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My IG(Instagram) Username is just my first name and last name. I used to change my name frequently to different names in the past but I figured out that just my name is enough. Being yourself is the best thing you can do and it’s more professional and easy to remember.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I used to used VSCO and then it became the snapchat filters but now i just used don’t use filters. I love posting unedited pictures. But is i want to darken or lighten a picture i just use the editing Instagram already provides.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There’s a lot of instargrammers that I love so I’ll mention a few. HRush, HudaBeauty, iLuvSahariii, MakeUpShayla, Aaliyah Jay and KaylarWill are my go to beauty guru’s. Rihanna, The Kardashians X Jenners, Asap rocky, Dior, Nyane and Sherylin are my favourite fashion grammers. Aaija, IndiaLove, Matikaaah, Yelanv and Goldenbih are my fav upcoming instagrammers, their context is unique.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Making sure that your happy. That’s something everybody should try. Mastering yourself to be the best you can be to your ability. you never know what you can achieve if you really do not truly know yourself. When you do that your surroundings change and you see the world in a better light. Do what your heart desires and don’t limit yourself. The world is your Oyster!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The best part is having people look up to you and say how you’ve impacted their way of living and viewing life in general. Just knowing that you’ve helped somebody by posting a certain picture, quote or video. Good feedback and love is what I live for and is what really keeps me going. if I’ve made your day then that’s a day well spent.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

The only top tips that will help any brands running campaign is know your purpose and make sure it benefits your audience and how to check that is to ask yourself it it benefits you. Do your research because people can come at you will questions and you have to be ready to answer them whether is good or bad because an uncertainty of a brand campaigning on something they don’t even know about in depth is embarrassing and not a good look. Do your RESEARCH! i can not stress this enough and always have positive vibes/ a great attitude at all times.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Having Original content is what makes your feed special because people are not going to see what you have on another persons Instagram. It really and truly is what makes you memorable and unique, you can be inspired by another persons feed but make it your own because people will notice and it’s just not a good look. Quality is key. if there’s no sign of quality or original content you will not be able to influence others with your own work and as an Instagram influencer that your purpose(to help others).

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Partnering with brands is a way of helping yourself build your own platform and being able to be apart of amazing events that appeal to the audience you already have and gives you a chance to experience a variety of opportunities that can boost your purpose and that can help you to get where your going in life. You can meet and connect with different people that are interested in you concept and help you achieve your goals.
