Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Dakota Robbins @Dkota26

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m living in Salt Lake City, Utah working as a crew leader for a high end landscaping company. I try to get out every weekend to travel, hike, climb peaks or explore new areas. I am originally am from Oregon, I moved to Utah 8 years ago and have been here since.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Nature and the great outdoors. My followers love to see the amazing spots me and my friends find or the peaks we’ve climbed recently, I like to take people to those hard to get to places and inspire them to get out and create their own adventures.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Oh it was just a quick put together of my name and favorite number, dkota26. Some of my friends jokingly call me that all the time

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

The first program I use to edit my photos is Lightroom. Most of the editing is done in their and then I upload the photos and do the final touch ups with Instagrams editing platform.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

@bejamin is one of my favorite instagrammers of all time. I have a few really amazing photographers I look up to but that guy has amazing content with really clean edits. And his shots are always Epic.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

They’ve got to try getting out and not being afraid of not knowing how to adventure or explore. They’ve got to try out Instagram and use it for the amazing network platform that it is to meet new people that will help them achieve their dreams or desires, and create lasting friendships with people that are like minded and have the same interests

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part is that my work as a photographer is appreciated and sought out. It is very humbling and a great feeling to know my content has any effect at all on people, I’m very appreciative of my followers support

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Seamless and natural introduction of product, purpose, or content that goes well with the influencers theme. You don’t want to have an influencer promoting something that doesn’t go well with what they’ve built upon on there Instagram page. I maintain authenticity by going out and adventuring, and if I’m ever asked to promote product I integrate that into my shots as naturally as possible, and try to make it seem like it’s meant to be there.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality and original content is what’s going to get people’s attention and inspire them. Keeping a fresh approach to a popular hobby and profession is key to standing out in today’s world

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The friendships that come about, the many opportunities that are opened to me, and of course free swag at times, but it’s a great way to get discovered and to create many new adventures that’ll take you to places you never imagined going
