Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Charlotte Lyon @charlottelouiselyon

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I come from Scotland originally but I grew up in the Tuscan countryside on a farm with horses and animals. I decided to study art and culture at university in Parma. After getting my BA in art I moved to Glasgow to study acting before choosing to set a life up in Milan. I now work as an actress through a talent agency here and I am starting a career as an art broker specialising in modern and contemporary art.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post lifestyle pictures but trying to make them as arty and original as possible. I don’t just post pictures of my self. If I see something that inspires me I will post about it. Travelling, eating out, art and fashion are definitely my main focuses.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It is just my own name! I managed to secure it as I joined Instagram back when it first started.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I try and edit as little as possible.. I rarely use filter. Sometimes I may crop a picture that was taken quickly.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are a few.. People like Caroline Vreeland, Shea Marie and art pages

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Coconut oil, it is the best for your skin !

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love reaching out to people I might never meet in real life… We are connecting through mutual hobbies and passions. It’s a very powerful social network.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Have a strong brand identity… Be loyal to your customers and research about what young people want. You have to do you marketing research and listen to your customers feedback are and possibly reach out to new customers at the same time.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Image is very important for brands… In a world full of images you need to stand out from all the rest.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The honour to collaborate with a brand you have used all your life and act as an abassador.
