Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Bruno Costa @Lebonmechant

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Im a Portuguese instagrammer, a dentist with my own dental clinic near the sea, who loves giving a smile to those all around me. My instagram is all about making people feel good, stay in shape and visit wonderful hidden places all around the world as well as giving some style and design to the instagram grid making it more dynamic.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love travel, smiles, clothing and style and I love graphic design and making the most out of the instagram grid.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I wanted something bold to reveal my identity. I love French and “le bon merchant” means the good villain. It looks good graphically and stands out as the message i want out of it.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I usually use my Nikkon camera and go directly to Snapseed or VSCO cam to make the most out of it. Then I work on a few apps to make it work graphically on the instagram grid such as Afterlight or Photofox,

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really love the I am Galla style and a friend Summerjones. They really have a great identity and make wonders out of the instagram. Such an inspiration.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

People have to try and be more creative on instagram. Really stand out and make your message come through. It’s hard to show yourself but if you’re gonna do it, do it the most authentic way possible.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I like the challenge of making the most of out a brand and making it work on your instagram without the obvious advertise perks. It’s good to be creative and show stuff on a daily basis.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Influencers have a really important role on the campaigns. We can work around a brand on our own style to make it fit us and make it feel and look good. The routine we show can be enhanced with some brands and that’s worth sharing. To maintain authenticity we must stay true to ourselves and not be a part or the marketing scheme the obvious way.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

It is the key to everything. It is better to show less content but high quality then always be shooting around and having some senseless instagram. It’s hard to produce good quality material but it is definitely worth it.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The challenge of making it work the right way. There are tons of possibilities, playing with the grid, new hidden beautiful spots to shoot, finding that right moment to make it work with the brand. It is really good.
