Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Amara Maduka @amaramaduka

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Amara. I’m a Nigerian. I’m an actress and screenwriter.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Self-love and body positivity is what I love to preach about the most because I believe live is too short to worry about things we cannot change. Secondly, the world needs a lot of love and we can’t give love if we don’t have it for ourselves first.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My name and my surname combined.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use beauty plus. I used to love camera 360 before I discovered beauty plus. I still love camera 360 tho. I also use adobe light room. I edit at my spare time. I shoot the photos and just take my time to edit depending on how urgent I need to post them anyway.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love @graccievictory so much. She inspires me a whole lot. I love @princessvitarah as well, I find her interesting and I love interesting people.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Nothing new for now…

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part about being an influencer is having to inspire people. Whenever I read from people how much my posts inspire them to love themselves wholeheartedly and unapologetically, I feel great. And that feeling I get is what keeps me going and I can’t trade that for anything.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Brands just need to keep sh*t real. Tell your story and sell your products right. Lying could get you quick consumers but won’t keep them for too long. My country, Nigeria has a lot of brands selling lies to consumers and I know it’s only a matter of time before people learn the truth and forget them like they never existed; I trust my naija people on that. Authenticity is always gangstar. I preach what I believe in or agree with. Being authentic is that easy.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

It is good to promote quality content. Originality is also a key word when it comes to promoting brands. I advice influencers and brands to go for quality instead of quantity. All that should matter is the long run and only quality and originality can take a brand there.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love the connection it brings. I love that you get to learn new things from people and you get to teach them new things as well. Partnership is great for someone like me cos it creates an avenue for me to network, learn and have fun at the same time.
