Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Amanda @Amandajanetutorials

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Amanda and I’m a beauty junkie.

I became a qualified makeup artist back in 2009 as a young girl I always loved makeup, at the age of 10 I dressed my sister an her friends up an sis there makeup with face paint to make them looks like KISS from that day on I new it was my passion.

At the moment I am a wife and a mum of two, I do some freelance work however I am focusing on you blog, YouTube and Instagram.

I am born in Perth Australia and I am still here 🙂

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post makeup and sometimes fashion an fitness, I love to post pics of food and beautiful things that gets people’s attention

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

First my name was makeupbyamandajane I thought it was pretty self explanatory as my name is Amanda Jane an I do makeup however when I started my YouTube channel I didn’t just want it to be related to makeup as I like to do fashion posts, skin care, tanning and hair etc so I changed it to amandajanetutorials

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

For makeup I just use my Sony A5000 as it has a built in blur filter.

But for other photos I used facetune and I whiten things like background to make it cleaner, I then remove any blemishes ( eg smudges mascara)

I also use photoshop express to sharpen the photo.

Or my flat lay pictures I love VSCO cam just to give it a tint to help my theme however I never use this on my makeup photos as I want them to still be realistic

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love holly boon and immogine. However Emily Casanova is inspiring me like crazy right now I love the makeup looks she does and I am recreating her work.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Black liner as a base for bright colours as it gives it more pigment

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love the effect my work has on people I get so many comments and I love interacting back with everyone. I get such nice msges from young people about what I do. It’s great to have a influence on people.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Keep it real I love things that are not photoshopped to the Max because as a real person if I want to buy a product I want to know what it’s going to truely look like.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

A good picture can make a huge difference, my one picture I post I can guarantee I have taken 200 to get one perfect one 🙂

I love being able to promote other brands and keep things real. I love supporting other influencers and getting the word out there
