Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Alex Lee @alextzentzialee

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hello! My name is Alex Lee. I’m 20 year old college student, from California. I was born with eleven fingers. Some may think it’s not a big deal at all, but growing up I always hid it and I never talked/talk about it or show it on my social medias. I didn’t want people to gravitate away from me because of it, I want to be recognized for the content I put on my platforms, not because of something society doesn’t think is normal. I let my insecurities be the reason for my inconsistency on my platforms because I was afraid people would judge me, being older now I don’t really care what people have to say about me and although I still don’t speak about it, I feel like I don’t have to because it’s just me, who I am.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My top interest are definitely social media, fashion, and trying to pursue those two interest. I mostly Instagram photos of myself and my outfits, mostly fashion, but I do love good lifestyle photos as well, I just haven’t done any lifestyle photos for awhile.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name is alextzentzialee. Alex is short for Alexandra my american name. Tzentzia, is my Hmong name, which hmong is my nationality. Lee, is my last name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Some apps, I use for my photos are VSCO, of course, who doesn’t use this app. I also use FaceTune as well, to fix any face blemishes or whiten my backgrounds.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I have a ton of Instagrammers I really like. In general, people who post things that I relate to or wish I could relate to. Instagrammers who are relatively consistent, who have great lifestyle pictures, and fashion photos. Although, we are different and don’t have the same type of aesthetic I really like @alexisren , her photos are unreal, knowing that she travels, models, and potrays a carefree life, is really motivating.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

If there’s one thing my instagrammers gotta try now, it’s gotta be to be positive! What you put into the world is what you’re going to get back. Remember that, you control how everything comes into play with your life, it’s how you handle situations that reflect your life.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I would say my favorite part, would be inspiring people, through my clothes. It feels good to receive feedback that they liked my outfit, or that I inspired their future outfit, anything of that sort, really good feeling.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Some of my top tips would be diversity. There should be new faces of all kinds, I feel like brands who run campaigns choose the same type of looks all the time, they want to search for what’s already out there, being blind sided by what’s rarely shown in the media.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I feel like the importance of quality and original content is important because that’s what makes an influencer special, they have something original that others can’t provide. I would say that taking inspiration from your surroundings is okay, but to always make it your own.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Honestly, partnering with brands has all positive perks, like all the free stuff, but I really think it’s about the connections. I like that a small/big brand even wants to work with me, first of all. It’s rewarding that a brand is interested in you. Basically contributing to their company and brand. It’s really rewarding.
