1)Tell us a little about this photo?
I am an avid Traveller. I love travelling to different, new places and meeting new people. In India especially the culture and stories around every place are so unique and interesting that you are spellbound. This is one of those places, “Vijaya Vilas Palace”. The palace was built during reign of Maharao Shri Khengarji III in 1929, the Maharao of Kutch, as a summer resort for the use of his son & heir to the kingdom, the Yuvraj Shri Vijayaraji and is therefore, named after him as Vijaya Vilas Palace. Built with red Sandstone, it has all the elements of Rajputana Architecture. From the murals and jharokas to the coloured glasswork and marbled fountains, everything is just mesmerising. Vijaya Vilas Palace has its own private beach which offers air-conditioned tented accommodation. The palace has been used as the set in many Hindi films and has now become a popular tourist destination. The royal family of Princely State of Kutch now reside permanently in the palace.
