1)Tell us a little about this photo?
Hiking the incredible Vermilion Cliffs National Monument in the Arizona Desert; just south of the Utah State Line. This trail is part of the Paria Canyon Wilderness Area. Not surprising; this natural wonder is known as “The Wave”. Aptly named for it’s colorful, winding ribbons of sandstone layers. To get to this scenic area; one must acquire a permit from the Bureau of Land Management. In order to preserve this geological landmark; they have gone to a lottery system for daily access. Daily; only about 40 (very lucky people) are allowed to experience this incredible natural phenomenon.
2)A catchy title for this photo?
Experiencing “The Wave”…. One of Mother Nature’s most amazing undertakings!
