De Beer Seafood Restaurant Campaign Review

After Sum Kee’s Campaign, many of our StarNgage influencers came up to us to request for more, and within the next month, we managed to organise another food tasting session with De Beer Seafood Restaurant at Sunset Way.

With much positive responses received from its original outlet at D’Kranji Farm Resort, along Neo Tiew Lane, De Beer recently opened its second outlet at Sunset Way.

We managed to try their signature dishes, and I must say that it was a delicious meal indeed.

We started off the meal with their signature dish, Lala Bee Hoon. The broth was amazing.

After which, we had Spare Ribs with Guinness Stout and Champagne, which was uniquely flavourful.

 

 

 

 

 

[Food Tasting Session] Spare Ribs with Guinness Stout & Champagne 黑啤香槟骨 (Small $16/Medium $24/Large $30). The meat is tender and juicy and judging from its flavourful taste, one can tell that much time and effort are taken to ensure that the ribs are evenly and well marinated. The addition of Guinness stout and champagne also gives this dish a unique and distinctive taste. Definitely one of my favourite dishes here! Dinner at a Seafood Restaurant isn’t complete without some crabs! Persie and Kaiting having some fun with the crabs!

 

 

 

 

 

The highlight of the night was the Flaming Chicken, the one dish that everyone was waiting for. We love this step-by-step graphic done by Sam!

Okay, remember Mummy telling you NEVER to play with fire?? haha well, she didn’t see this Flaming Chicken! ??❤️ This secret dish is off the menu, and has to be ordered in advance. It’s a 90% cooked chicken that is skewered onto this specially created pot. It is then set ON FIRE!!! ??? Check out how high the flames go!!! The waitress was like “Stand back please. STAND BACK!” Hahahaha the first time I saw it, I was genuinely astounded by the power of the flame. And the end result is pure bliss. The broth has herbs and Chinese rice wine, so there is a gorgeous slightly alcoholic note! ???? The chicken is unbelievably flavorful & tender (even the breast meat). I drank ALL the soup. Hic! ? It’s SGD60 – not cheap but worth it. I will bring my parents for sure – mummy would LUrVE. The aftermath of the Flaming Chicken. The waitress carefully cut the chicken, and placed it into this Steamboat-like thing, where the tender de-boned chicken is left to soak in the broth, with charcoal under it keeping it hot. Perfect shot here by Jacelyn.

 

 

 

 

 

Overall, I would have to say that my favourite dish was the Flaming Chicken, because the chicken was so soft and tender, and the broth complemented the meat really well.
